Sports Equipment Suppliers in Pakistan
We help you buy from sports equipment suppliers in Pakistan that we have checked: balls, cricket gear, hockey sticks, rackets and training equipment. First we verify the factory; then we follow production and inspect your goods before shipment.
How We Work With Sports Equipment Suppliers in Pakistan
ProQ Sourcing is a sourcing and inspection agent based in Sialkot. We are not a manufacturer, and we own no factory. Instead, we connect importers and brands with verified sports equipment suppliers in Pakistan, and then we check samples, production and the final goods for you.
Sialkot has a long history in sports goods, from hand-stitched balls to cricket and hockey equipment. As a result, the supply base is large, but it is also uneven. Some units ship to major sports markets every week; others are small workshops that subcontract most of the work.
Our job is to tell the difference before you pay. So we visit the factory, test samples against your spec, and stay involved until the goods are packed.
What We Source in Sports Equipment
Each product group has its own materials and weak points. Below is what we source most often, and what we check in each one.
Balls
Match, training and futsal balls are made in three main ways: hand-stitched, machine-stitched and thermo-bonded, where panels are glued with heat instead of stitched. Covers are PU, TPU or PVC, over butyl or latex bladders. Because construction drives price and feel, we compare samples side by side.
Volleyballs use soft PU covers, often laminated, in stitched or glued panel designs. Handballs need a tacky grip surface and smaller sizes for youth and women’s play. We therefore check size, weight, grip and panel alignment, and we test that bladders hold pressure over several days.
Basketballs use rubber or composite leather with deep channels for grip. Rugby balls are oval, with a pimpled grip pattern and four panels. For both, shape and balance matter. So we check circumference, weight, bounce and seam strength on samples and again on bulk goods.
Leather cricket balls have a cork-and-rubber core, a hand-stitched seam and red, white or pink leather. Tennis balls, on the other hand, are pressurised rubber cores with felt covers. We check seam quality, weight and hardness for cricket balls, and bounce and felt finish for tennis balls.
Cricket, hockey and racket sports
Bats are made from English or Kashmir willow. English willow is lighter and plays better, so it suits higher-grade bats; Kashmir willow is harder and cheaper. Grades depend on grain lines and blemishes. Therefore we check willow grade, grain, handle fit, weight and finish against the order spec.
Field hockey sticks use wood, fibreglass or carbon composite, and the carbon share drives stiffness and price. Bow shape, the curve along the shaft, suits different playing styles. We check weight, length, bow position and surface finish, and we also look for cracks or voids in composite layers.
Rackets use aluminium, graphite or composite frames, with string pattern and head size set by player level. Because balance and weight decide feel, we check each against the spec. In addition, we look at grip wrap, string tension and the finish of paint and decals.
Ball bags, cones, pumps, shin guards and training aids often ship together with balls. Although these items are simple, packing and labelling errors are common. So we check counts, print quality and packing lists alongside the main order.

How We Verify Sports Goods Factories
Before we shortlist any of the sports equipment suppliers in Pakistan for your order, we visit the unit and check the points below. This matters because many sports goods in Sialkot pass through several workshops before they are packed. Our full method is on the supplier verification in Pakistan page.
Who makes what
Ball stitching is often done in separate stitching centres. So we ask where each step happens and how the factory controls it.
Material sourcing
We check where covers, bladders, willow or carbon come from. In addition, we ask for supplier test reports where your spec needs them.
Testing tools
We look for scales, circumference gauges, pressure gauges and rebound testers. Without them, consistency is hard to prove.
Product specialisation
A strong ball factory is not automatically a good bat maker. Therefore we match each product to units that already make it in volume.
Capacity and season
Demand peaks before major sports seasons. As a result, we check current load and confirm that your delivery date fits.
Export and packing
We review export paperwork and packing methods, because balls and bats need different protection in transit.
Quality Checks on Balls and Sports Equipment
Sports equipment fails in use, not on the shelf. For that reason, we test function during production and again before shipment, as explained on our inspection services in Pakistan page. Buyers may also specify standards, such as the FIFA Quality Programme for match balls; in that case, we check supplier test reports against them.
For cricket bats, we also check willow grade against the order. This guide to cricket bats explains how willow types and grades differ.
What we check
- Size, weight and circumference against the spec
- Bounce, rebound and pressure retention for balls
- Seam strength and panel alignment
- Print and logo durability (rub test)
- Willow grade, grain and finish for bats
- Packing, labels and carton counts
Defects we look for
- Out-of-round or unbalanced balls
- Bladders that lose pressure
- Open seams or lifting panels
- Smudged or peeling prints
- Cracks, voids or warping in sticks and bats
- Wrong sizes or mixed items in cartons
Why Sialkot for Sports Goods
Sialkot has made sports goods for export for generations, starting with hand-stitched balls and leather items. In addition, the city built supply chains for cricket, hockey and boxing equipment.
Because so much of the industry sits in one place, one visit can cover the factory, its material suppliers and its stitching centres. As a result, problems are easier to trace and fix.
Sialkot also offers skilled hand work that is hard to find elsewhere, especially in hand-stitched balls and leather cricket balls.

Custom Branding and Private Label Sports Goods
Most buyers want their own brand on balls, bats and rackets. However, each product takes branding differently; therefore we check it on samples first.
- Screen or digital printing on ball panels
- Custom panel designs and colour combinations
- Bat stickers, engraving and grip colours
- Printed boxes, header cards and polybags
- Barcodes, swing tags and carton marks
For OEM sports goods, the factory produces to your design. You can see how sampling and approval fit into the full order on our how it works page.
Questions About Sports Equipment Orders
Orders and samples
Can I order different ball types in one shipment?
Yes, many buyers combine footballs, volleyballs and basketballs in one container. However, different ball types may come from different factories. In that case, we coordinate timing so everything is ready together, and we inspect each product line separately before the goods are consolidated.
What quantity do sports goods factories accept?
It varies by product and factory. For example, stock designs with your logo printed can often start lower than fully custom balls or bats. So tell us the product, design and quantity, and we will check which suppliers can work with your volume.
How are samples tested before bulk production?
We check samples against your spec: size, weight, bounce, grip and print. For balls, we also leave them inflated for several days to see if they hold pressure. Then we send you photos, measurements and our comments, so you can approve or request changes.
Materials and standards
What is the difference between English and Kashmir willow?
English willow is softer, lighter and gives better performance, so it is used for higher-grade bats. Kashmir willow is harder, heavier and cheaper, which suits training and junior bats. Within each type, grades depend on grain and blemishes; therefore we check the grade on every order.
Can you source balls tested under the FIFA Quality Programme?
Yes, we can work with factories whose ball models have been tested under the FIFA Quality Programme, if your order needs it. The factory provides the test documents, and we check that they match the model you are buying. However, ProQ does not hold or issue any FIFA certification.
Which hockey stick material should I choose?
It depends on the player level and budget. Wooden sticks are cheaper and forgiving, so they suit schools and beginners. Composite sticks with more carbon are stiffer and lighter, which advanced players prefer. We can source samples across the range, so you can compare weight, balance and feel.
