Why Production Follow-Up in Pakistan Matters

ProQ Sourcing is a sourcing and inspection agent based in Sialkot. We are not the factory, and we own no production unit. Instead, we act as your eyes in the factory: we visit, check progress against the plan, and tell you what is really happening.

Most late or faulty orders do not fail at the end. They slip early: fabric arrives late, cutting starts a week behind, or a factory moves your order to make room for a bigger one. However, buyers often hear about it only when the shipping date has passed.

Production monitoring changes that. Because we check each milestone, problems show up while there is still time to act, and you get regular updates instead of vague promises.

Scope

What Production Monitoring Covers

Our production follow-up covers your order from purchase order to shipment. Below is what we track at each stage.

PO confirmation

We check that the factory has confirmed quantities, sizes, colours, prices and the delivery date in writing.

Material approval

We confirm fabric, trims and accessories have arrived and match the approved samples before cutting.

Cutting and stitching

We check that cutting and stitching start on time and run at the planned output.

In-line check

We run an in-line check early in production to catch defects before they repeat across the order.

Packing

We check packing method, labels, carton marks and quantities against your instructions.

Shipment booking

We follow final inspection, shipment booking and export documents with you and your forwarder.

Process

How We Track Your Order

Order tracking follows a fixed rhythm, so you always know when the next update is due.

1. Plan

We agree a production plan with the factory, with dates for each milestone.

2. Visit

We visit the factory at key stages and check progress against the plan.

3. Report

After each visit, you receive a short written update with photos.

4. Escalate

If a milestone slips, we raise it with the factory and agree a recovery plan with you.

Deliverables

What You Receive

Every update follows the same format, so you can read it quickly and act on it.

Before goods ship, we usually add a final check through our inspection services in Pakistan, so you approve the shipment with evidence.

Checklist

Delayed Order Prevention Checklist

Delays usually have warning signs. Below are the signs we watch for at each stage, so you can act early. This practice is often called expediting, and this overview of expediting explains the general idea.

Common problems

Common Production Delays We Catch

Late orders usually show warning signs weeks before the shipping date. These are the ones we look for.

Late fabric

Fabric that arrives late pushes every later step back. We confirm fabric booking and arrival dates early, and we warn you if the mill falls behind.

Orders bumped by bigger buyers

Busy factories sometimes move small orders aside. Regular visits make it clear that your order is being watched, and we notice quickly if your lines go quiet.

Hidden subcontracting

Some factories send part of an order to another unit without telling the buyer. Because we check the floor against planned output, we notice when the numbers do not add up.

Rework at the end

If defects appear only at the final stage, rework eats into shipping time. Our in-line check catches repeated faults early, when they are quick to correct.

Who it suits

Who This Service Suits

First orders

If this is your first order with a factory, follow-up shows you how it really works before you trust it.

Small orders

Small orders are easy for a busy factory to push back. Regular visits keep yours on the schedule.

Repeat orders

For repeat orders, follow-up catches drift in materials or workmanship before it reaches your customers.

In detail

What a Typical Progress Update Includes

Every update follows the same short format. As a result, you can read it in a few minutes and know exactly where your order stands.

Stage and progress

Which milestone the order has reached, with quantities cut, stitched and packed so far.

Photos from the floor

Current photos of materials, work in progress and any issues we found during the visit.

Risks and delays

Anything that could affect quality or timing, with the reason and the factory’s plan to fix it.

Next steps

The next milestone, its planned date and when we will visit again.

Fees

Fees for Production Follow-Up

Our fee is quoted per project and agreed in writing before work starts. It depends on the order size, the number of factory visits and the length of production.

You can also combine follow-up with supplier verification and inspection. In that case, we quote the full scope together, so you see one clear cost.

FAQ

Questions About Production Follow-Up

Updates and visits

We agree the rhythm at the start, usually after each key milestone or each factory visit. Every update is written and includes photos. In addition, if something goes wrong between visits, we tell you straight away rather than waiting for the next report.

Usually not. We visit at planned milestones and whenever there is a risk. For large or sensitive orders, more frequent visits are possible, and we include them in the quote.

Yes. You give us the factory details and the purchase order, and we agree a plan with them. The factory needs to know we are working for you, so we introduce ourselves openly.

Delays and problems

We tell you, explain the cause and propose options, such as extra shifts, splitting the shipment or changing the shipping method. You decide; we then follow the factory on the agreed recovery plan.

It reduces the risk a lot. We check materials against the approved sample before cutting, and again during production. If materials change without approval, we report it, and you decide whether to accept them.

No. Follow-up tracks progress and timing across the whole order, while an inspection checks quality at a specific point. They complement each other, so most buyers combine follow-up with an in-line and a final inspection.
